Update - Lyrics of my composition included in karnatik.com

Hi All. Happy to share with you all that the lyrics of my humble composition has been included (with audio and meaning) in the website karnatik.com, a very popular platform in which the lyrics of over 20,000 Carnatic krithis and Varnams have been published as a service to Carnatic Music.  I feel honoured that my small composition is also a part of this huge database of compositions featuring great Krithis of Sangeetha Mummoorthigal and other prolific composers. I would like to thank Ms. Rani ma'am and Shri. Lakshman Ragde Sir for helping to publish my composition on karnatik.com. Sharing the link of lyrics of my composition in karnatik.com.  https://karnatik.com/c0100.shtml Also, they have created a composer page for me in the link : https://karnatik.com/co1378.shtml Looking forward to all your support in my humble endeavour of music composing with GOD'S, Gurus, Parents and Great Composers' Blessings. All GOD'S GRACE. 😊🙏

Swaraaksharam - The beauty of Carnatic Music!

Hi All!  Welcome to my blog Sangeetha Narayanan - Music. Today I wish to share my casual thoughts on Swaraksharam, which I believe is a beautiful component of Carnatic Music.  The following is based on my learnings from my Gurus and my learnings by listening to Lec-dems and concerts of artists on the Web. Kindly let me own any feedback in the comments section of my blog post. ☺🙏 Swaraksharam essentially means - Swaram + Aksharam. Swaram (Musical Note) + Aksharam (Alphabet). It is the coming together of the same Swaram and Aksharam in a phrase of a composition. For example, taking a popular Krithi of Muthuswami Dikshithar, Maha Ganapathim. In the Pallavi, Mahaganapathim, The first phrase itself is MaPa Ma for which Sahithyam has been set as Maha Ganapathim. So the first letter is a Swaraksharam, with Ma being the same in Swaram and Sahithyam.  Likewise, in Shri. Papanasam Sivan's Krithi Karpaga Manohara, the first line has the swaram Gapaga which corresponds to saah...
